Yes, I went to the other site address and was redirected here due to maintenance. I don't seem to be able to find much in the way of discussions between Mums about this subject and would really like to read other people's stories and, perhaps, offer help and advice in return. Am I in the wrong place? Embarassed

Rhesus, Kell or other antibodies - questions, treatments and outcomes

Post by zoo20000uk on Sat Jun 27, 2009 4:58 am

If anybody has any worries about their blood type being Rhesus or Kell negative or if they have had antibody-related problems during a pregnancy which led to invasive treatments and/or problems after the birth, it would be nice to start a thread to share concerns or experiences.

I have Rhesus antibodies and have received a wide variety of treatments over the years, including IUT (transfusions into the womb to the baby). It would be nice to hear from other mothers who have had similar problems. The introduction of Anti-D injections has helped Rh negative women immensely, but some women (like me) still slip through the net and are left with no alternative but to undergo invasive treatment every time they carry a Rh positive child.

I am 27 weeks pregnant at the moment and receiving treatment at Kings College Hospital. They hope to help my baby girl reach 32-34 weeks before induction/caesarean.
