I'd say she sounds nice Very Happy and at least she's come from nearby. I wouldn't worry about the hobby thing - some people just don't class the things they do as hobbies, plus it means she might be open to things like zumba and the gym with you?

I think she sounds really good.

I hope she didnt smell.

Im glad connie liked her and she liked the kids in turn. Maybe if she doesnt have many hobbies she will gain some while with you such as Zumba and the meets. Also on the flip side if shes not a hobby person then she will be into child activities.

I would say see the others then make your mind.

Never mind the accent, its part of her and as long as you all understand each other then I dont think its too much of a problem.

Hanna sounds really good! I don't have hobbies either really. I like the fact she has friends nearby too! Means on her days off she might not be under your feet and she has her own 'life' outside of your home iykwim?

She sounds great though. Did you ask her what her average daily routine is with the family she's with now? I want to look for an au pair just because now!! lol Embarassed

Jim wants to "sack it off" and just get her!

Jim hasn't spent endless hours searching.

Jim also won't have to email lots of girls and turn them down!

I can't see many disadvantages to taking her to be honest. She's clean, she smells nice (!), she has the same shoe size as me so we can share shoes, she's a size 8 so she'll fit between the kids' seats int he back of the car so it's not always me squashing in...

She wasn't au pairing before us; she was working in a pub. She just got sacked but because of her friends she wants to stay local. She doesn't know why she got sacked (it was after 2 months). She is pretty proactive though cos she came to the UK on her own, found a job on her own and is now living with an old lady called Mary who she met by chance.

Her ultimate aim in life is to be a housewife!

She seems fab really apart from her love of Britney Spears.

She loves singing and was on the French X Factor.

She sounds good Bex. I always answer errrrmm to what hobbies i have because i draw a blank at that question. You 've mentioned she has friends so she isn't likely to be a hermit in her room on her days off.

I would go for it, Connie likes her by the sound of it.

Go for it!

she sounds good Bex. I like the fact she has friends around, it means she isn't 100% relaying on you for company on her days off, or on her own and bored. It also sounds like she was good with the kids.
Good luck...I ave a feeling this one will work out Smile

Ooh, Bex, she sounds promising. If you take her on, give her a two week probation to see how it works out and then hire her "permanently". It will save you some hassle on the stress front. You can have an appraisal talk at the end of the two week probation period to discuss further work.

Good luck *HUGS*

I'd be hesitant to hire anyone who's not been an au pair, presumably this would mean she's not got any CRB checks or anything under her belt? Eeee I don't know! So glad I'm not havign to make this decision! GL Bex! xxx
